Chhotomaukuri Gram Unnayan Bhabna, a local voluntary organization, had organized a daylong free medical camp, poetry recitation and sports competition marking the international mother language and language martyrs day Ekushe on Sunday.
The programme was arranged at Mauban high school ground with organization president Asharful Islam in the chair where ex-headmaster Abdus Satter attended the programme as chief guest. Katlagari degree college principal Matiar Rahman, Mauban high school headmaster Didar Hossain, freedom fighter Anwar Hossain, Farhad Hossain attended as special guests. Organization advisor Manirul Islam among others spoke.
Over a hundred audiences including Chhotomaukuri government primary school headmaster Abdul Jalil and Shailkupa City Degree College lecturer Ferojur Rahman remain resent. About 100 patients were provided medical treatment free of cost by eminent resident of the village, also gynecologist of Kushtia Police Lines Hospital Dr. Nazma Khatun.
The speakers urged upon the organization activists to continue and uphold the spirit of voluntarism to serve the ailing community with all efforts to make the country free from poverty, illiteracy, militant, injustice and odds.
