Adviser for Ministries of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Road Transport and Bridges and Railways Dr Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan has issued two directives regarding the banning of single-use plastic water bottles and the formulation of recruitment and promotion policies for different entities under his ministries.
These instructions were given on Thursday through an office order from the Office of the Adviser, said a press release.
As per the directives, a ban was imposed on the use of single-use plastic water bottles in meetings, seminars, workshops and other daily activities.
About the staff recruitment and promotion policies of all organizations and companies under the ministries he has asked them to formulate and update those policies and send those to the ministries concerned after the approval of the boards concerned.
These guidelines will be applicable to the Ministries and Divisions under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and Ministry of Railways.
