Panchbibi police in Joypurhat district detained four men along with Phensedyl syrup on Monday night.
The detainees were identified as Rasel Ronny, 22, Biplab Hossain, 21, Sirajul Islan, 22, and Aslam Ali, 21, residents of Doghra village in the upazila.
On information about selling Phensedyl syrup at Ratanpur Dogra village, police conducted a drive there and detained them red-handed with 123 bottles of contraband syrup.
A case has been filed with Panchbibi Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
