Founding anniv of Jatiya Adivasi Parishad observed

As part of the central program, the 27th founding anniversary of Jatiya Adivasi Parishad, the only organization of small ethnic groups in the plains, was celebrated in Natore on Thursday.

On this occasion, a human chain programme was held in front of Natore United Press Club at 11:30 am organized by the Natore District unit of the organization. Ramanath Mahato, Presidium Member of the Central Committee of Jatiya Adivasi Parishad, Pradeep Lakra, Natore unit President, Bimal Lohar, Vice-President, Kalidas Roy, General Secretary, Jadu Kumar Das and other leaders spoke on the occasion. 

At the same time, the speakers demanded constitutional recognition of the indigenous people, formation of separate land commissions, education in the mother tongue and an end to all forms of torture, murder, lawsuit, rape, forcible occupation and eviction. At that time, they demanded the implementation of the 9-point demand posed by Jatiya Adivasi Parishad.
