Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry and Board of Governor, RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury laid foundation stone of a model mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre at the old Kachari of the district town on Monday.
Brahmanbaria District Administration, Public Works Department and Islamic Foundation jointly organised the programme. After founding the stone a discussion meeting was held.
Deputy Commissioner of Brahmanbaria Hayat-ud-Daula Khan presided over the meeting while Police Super Anisur Rahman, General Secretary of District Awami League Al-mamun Sarker, Executive Engineer of Brahmanbaria Public Works Department Imtiaj Ahmed, Khatib of Jame Mosque Mufti Belayetullah along with other were also present.
