Former Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mohammad Manjur Alam inaugurated a 50-bed temporary hospital for free treatment of dengue infected patients through Alhaj Mostafa-Hakim Welfare Foundation and Hosne Ara Manjur Welfare Trust. A temporary dengue hospital has been set up on the second floor of Mustafa Hakim College College Campus in North Kattoli (adjacent to City Gate) with all facilities including expert doctors, free treatment, tests, medicines, food for patients.
Sheikh Hasina campus auditorium inaugurated the temporary dengue hospital by cutting the ribbon and praying at a meeting on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by former mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) M Manjur Alam. Chattogram-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Alhaj Md. Didarul Alam was the chief guest.
Former Chief Health Officer of Chittagong City Corporation Dr. Mohammad Salim Akhtar Chowdhury was the inaugural address. Mustafa Hakim Group director social worker Mohammad Sarwar Alam, Mohammad Saiful Alam were special guests.
Hospital Director Dr. Mohammad Nasim Bhuiyan, Sitakunda Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr. Nur Uddin, Chairman Rehan Uddin, Councillor Zahurul Alam Jashim, Lion Nazmul Haque Chowdhury, Principal Mohammad Alamgir, Vice Principal Mahfuzul Haque Chowdhury, former Principal Badsha Alam and various classes, prominent people spoke.
The hospital will be managed by 4 specialist doctors, nurses, ward boys, midwives including specialist Dr. Nasim Bhuiyan.
In the president's speech at the event, former mayor Alhaj M Manjur Alam said, we are encouraged by humanitarian work. It is our vow to stand by people's disease, misery, disaster and poverty. He welcomed those interested in receiving free dengue treatment.
In the speech of the chief guest, MP Didarul Alam said that all of our family are interested in humanitarian work. Service to humanity is our vow.
Dr. Md. Salim Akhtar Chowdhury, former Chief Health Officer of CCC, founder of dengue patient treatment hospital, said that everyone should behave humanely as a doctor. Former Mayor M Manjur Alam is a humanitarian social worker appreciated for all his services.
