Footprints of tigers have once again been found at Sonatola village of Southkhali union of Saronkhola under Bagerhat district on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning that has created panic among the villagers.
The villagers have been warned through the microphone to remain alert. Moreover, members of Wild Team, Village Tiger Response Team and Community Patrolling Team are keeping watchful eye in the village. Members of Bon Suroskha Committee opined, the tiger entered the village on Saturday ( Nov-9) night and returned to the forest again. Earlier, on January-11 night, the tiger moved in the same village.Drug trader and VTRT Member Mahbub Hasan informed on Sunday morning that he had watched the footprints of a tiger at the backside of the house of Mujibur Rahman Howlader. During this time he collected a footprint of the tiger by digging the mud. He warned everyone to remain alert through microphone of mosque.
Ohidul Mollah, Younus Mollah, Shefali Begum, Moyna Begum of the char village near the Sunderbans informed they found footprints of tigers beside their houses and all of them are panicked.
Sarankhola Range Officer of the Department of Forestry (East) Sheikh Mahbub Hasan informed after watching the footprints of tigers, Forest Guards of Bhola Forest Camp have been asked to take necessary action in this connection and the Members of the Assistant Managing Committee of Bon Suroskha Committee have been asked to remain vigilant and to guard the villages.
