Shah Cement Co. Ltd, a concern of the Abul Khair Group, distributed food items among construction workers who became jobless due to corona virus spread in Faridpur on Saturday.
Hashem & Sons proprietor Md. Mosharraf Hossain Musha handed over the food items to the unemployed construction workers as the chief guest at the office of Shah Cement Co. Ltd. at Jhiltuli area in Faridpur.
At the time, area manager of Shah Cement Co. Ltd. Md. Ziaur Rahman and Markeying Officer Abu Taleb Munshi were present among others. 150 jobless construction workers received a relief of 5 kg rice, 1 kg pulse, 1 kg salt, 1 litter oil and a soap during the programme.
Hashem & Sons proprietor Md. Mosharraf Hossain Musha said all people are confined at home due to the corona virus spread worldwide. In this condition the low income people are living unemployed at home losing work.
Considering the condition of these unemployed people, Shah Cement Co. Ltd. Distributed food items for these unemployed construction workers, he added.
