With the slogan '72-year of grandeur’, the first reunion of River View Collectorate School in Rajshahi was kicked-off with fanfare and enthusiasm on the school campus on Friday. Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Kharuzzaman Liton inaugurated the function of reunion as the chief guest.
While speaking at the function, Mayor Liton said, River view Collectorate School was one of the oldest educational institutions of the city and the reunion has turned to a unison-fair of former and the incumbent teachers and students. He also assured the teachers and students of the students that he would meet with the Education Minister and request her to build a multi-storied school building there.
RCC Mayor further said, there was no quality English Medium school in Rajshahi and there was alternative to English medium school to get an opportunity of higher study abroad. He also handed over crests to the retired teachers of the school.
The inaugural speech at the function was delivered by Head Master of the school and President of the convening committee of the function Monowara Parvin and was attended, among others, by Member Secretary Muntasir Mamun, members Aminur Rahman Khan Rubel,Enayetur Rahman, Mahfuzur Hasnain Hikol, Shafiquzzaman Shafique, Sarwar Hossain Jewel, Asif Hossain, Imtizaz Joy, Marif Hossain, Siddique Nur Tushar, Samaun Islam and Abdur Rob Sagar.
