The first board meeting of Gazipur Development Authority (GDA), which aims to build a modern, well-planned industrial and attractive tourist city comprising Gazipur and its adjacent areas, was held at the conference room of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by chairman of the authority Md Hemayet Hossain.
The meeting was held in the presence of ex-officio board members as per Gazipur Development Authority Act-2020.
At the meeting, a policy decision was taken to determine the area under the jurisdiction of Gazipur Development Authority, formulate a master plan, draft an organogram and to formulate recruitment rules and regulations.
In addition, a policy decision was taken to rent a temporary office for the purpose of carrying out the activities of the authority and to send a proposal to the appropriate authority to construct a building at a
convenient place as a permanent office.
The meeting also discussed in detail the overall issues aimed at carrying out the activities of the authorities.
Shankar Kumar Malo, Supervising Engineer of Department of Public Works, Deputy Secretaries of Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Lutfun Nahar, Mozammel Hossain Khan, Nayla Ahmed and Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Land, MM Arif Pasha were present, among others.
