Fingerprints must be given in 3 months of application

The Election Commission (EC) has said that fingerprints should be given within three months of applying to be a voter.

The EC also said that the application will be canceled if the fingerprint is not given within this time.

EC officials said that many people leave for months after applying, but still do not come to give their fingerprints. As a result the registration process remains incomplete. This increases the number of pending applications in the card management system. It increases official work. Therefore, it has been decided to cancel his application if no one gives his fingerprint within three months.

On the other hand, if the application was made earlier, the officials would give a date for the concerned person to provide fingerprints and eye irises and take photographs. In this many times the service recipient had to rely on the approval of the concerned officer. Many people suffered from it. So, automatic appointment is being arranged to facilitate the service. In this, after completing the application, one will automatically get a date for fingerprinting and eye iris giving and photographing. You can complete the registration on that date.

Apart from this, earlier this service was not provided daily. As per the new decision, it is mandatory for officials to take fingerprints and eye irises and take photographs of service-seekers on a daily basis.

After the meeting held recently, such instructions have already been sent to the field officials.

Director General of NID Department Mahbub Alam Talukdar sent the instruction.

It is said that in the case of new voter registration, the schedule should be provided through the appointment software. After submitting the schedule, if the biometric is not provided by the applicant within the next three months, the application will be automatically deleted from the server. Apart from this, photographs should be taken for new registration every working day. Fingerprint verification will not be required for new registrations.
