Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali inaugurated the administrative website of National Pension Authority (NPA) in a ceremony at the conference room of Finance Department.
Waseqa Ayesha Khan, State Minister for Finance attended the event as special guest, while senior officials of Finance Department and officials of National Pension Authority were present on the occasion.
NPA Executive Chairman, Kabirul Izdani Khan presided over the inaugural ceremony.
The Finance Minister expressed satisfaction with the website developed by the National Pension Authority.
He emphasized on the need for such informative website and provision of updated information to motivate the people about the Universal Pension Scheme activities.
The Minister said that the NPA will take new initiatives to involve the people besides providing necessary information on digital media and website.
Kabirul Izdani Khan, Executive Chairman of National Pension Authority thanked the Finance Minister and State Minister for Finance for attending in the opening ceremony and informed the meeting that NPA will strive to follow the directions given by them.
After the inauguration of Universal Pension Scheme on 17th August 2023, the registration process is being completed on this web platform which is still going on.
As a new authority under Finance Department, National Pension Authority was required to develop.
The NPA website www.npa.gov.bd was created in accordance with the standard format set for government institutions by the A2I of the Prime Minister’s Office.
