Student movements in Bangladesh have always had a strong impact. From the Language Movement in 1952 to the recent anti-discrimination student movement in 2024, these movements have achieved their goals. Many filmmakers are now working on new films and web series to capture the triumph of the latest student movement.

Shihab Shaheen, a well-known director, is writing a script for a film about the recent student movement. He plans to start filming soon. Shaheen shared, "In the past, I couldn't express my opinions freely, but this time, I will reveal everything. There's no one to stop us now."

Khijir Hayat Khan, who directed "Ora Shaat Jon," a film about the Liberation War, is also working on a new film called "Karar Oi Louho Kobat." This film will focus on the student movement. Khan said he plans to use a large cast, including real students, and aims to release the film early next year.

Mabrur Rashid Bannah, a TV producer, announced his first film about the student movement. He said it will be inspired by Abu Sayed and Abrar Fahad. Bannah shared the news on Facebook on August 5. He is excited to start this new project and hopes it will inspire many people.

Khandkar Suman, known for his film "Saatao," is working on a new project called "Bijoy." This film will explore the history of student activism in Bangladesh, tracing it back to the Language Movement, the Liberation War, and the anti-dictatorship protests. Suman is determined to show the true spirit of the student movements.

Other filmmakers, including AQ Khokon, Debashish Biswas, and Riazul Riju, have also announced plans to create films based on the student movement. AQ Khokon said, "I don't just want to make a film; I want to create a piece of history for future generations." These films aim to capture the spirit of the students and their fight for justice.

National Film Award-winning director Riazul Riju, who is currently recovering from injuries sustained during the movement, is also committed to making a film about the events. He believes it is vital to tell this story on screen.

These upcoming films promise to offer a comprehensive portrayal of the student movements in Bangladesh, highlighting their significant impact and inspiring future generations.
