Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) in Jhenaidah Sadar had organized a daylong Field Day programme on producing Tricho-compost fertilizer at Gaganna village on Saturday.
It was organized by DAE local office. Deputy Director of DAE Kahmarbari, Sasti Chandra Roy, presided over it. The programme was organised to motivate the farmers to enhance the production and use of the Tricho-compost fertilizer at farmers’ level.
DAE Dhaka Khamarbari Additional Director FM Mahbubur Rahman, Deputy Director Mofakkharul Islam, DAE Jashore region Project Director Ramesh Chandra Ghosh, Upazila Agricultural Officer (UAO) Nur E Nabi, Additional Upazila Agricultural Officer Junayed Habib and Sub Assistant Agricultural Officer (SAAO) Mafiz Uddin, among others were present.
DAE additional director FM Mahbubur Rahman spoke as the chief guest. He said the Tricho-compost fertilizer helps build soil improvement and structure in many ways. It helps storage of water in the soil and reduces water misuse under the ground. Moreover, as it is environment-friendly, the farmers should produce more and more Tricho-compost fertilizer for them and the interest of the soil.
Around 100 farmers, including many woman farmers, participated in the field day’s event.
