The 18th death anniversary of freedom fighter MA Khaleque Sheikh of Gopalganj today (Tuesday). MA Khaleque Sheikh contributed a lot in our Liberation War. He used to send many youths to different training camps of India after completing primary training at the playground of TCAL High School during the liberation war. He is well known as the honest, modest and kind person in his area.
He breathed his last on 10th March, 2002 in DMCH. He left a wife, 5 sons and only daughter at that time. His 3rd son, Ashraful Alom Poplu is the member of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman memorial museum organising committee and an Awami League leader, says a press release.
On the occasion, a doa and a milad mahfil and Qurankhwani is going to held at his village home at Muksudpur in Gopalganj and in his Dhanmondi residence in the capital.
