Actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila, a star in both Bangladeshi and Indian Bengali productions, is set to shine in the new web-series "Baaji". Directed by Arifur Rahman, "Baaji" will release on Chorki this Eid-ul-Azha. In this series, Mithila plays the role of a journalist.
"Baaji" marks Mithila's on-screen reunion with actor Tahsan Khan after a long break. Fans are excited to see the popular pair together again. Mithila shared her joy with The Daily Star, saying, "I enjoyed working on 'Baaji' and approached my role with professionalism."
The series is about cricket and gambling, making it a unique addition to the genre. This project is a debut for both the director Arifur Rahman and Tahsan in a web-series. Although Mithila had more scenes with Manoj Pramanik, she appreciated working with Tahsan again.
Mithila expressed her dedication to her character, stating, "I focus on enhancing my performance and approached 'Baaji' with the same dedication. We all worked eagerly on this project, and I believe the audience will appreciate it."
"Baaji" is Mithila’s only Eid special project this year. Her film "Kajolrekha" is still being shown in theaters. Mithila highlighted its success, saying, "The story, director's vision, and performances contributed to its acclaim."
Mithila's new movie, "Aranyar Prachin Probad", directed by Dulal Dey, will release in Kolkata next month. She mentioned enjoying working with Silajit Majumder and Jeetu Kamal in the film.
This Eid, Mithila plans to split her time between Dhaka and Kolkata, spending time with family in both cities.
