An electric tri-wheeler driver named Nidan Mia (50) was hacked to death with a sharp weapon by his drug-addicted son of Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj on Friday midnight.
The accused fled after the murder. Meanwhile, police arrested the killer's son Hridoy in a raid on Saturday morning. The incident took place at Dori-Chariyakona in theKatiadi municipal area on Friday night. Police recovered the body on Saturday morning and sent it to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police and people of the area said Nidan Mia was returning home from Kadamtali Bazar on Friday night.At that time, Nidan was stabbed by a random person with a sharp weapon.He died on the way to the hospital.

Katiadi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge SM Shahadat Hossainsaid, ‘Autopsy report has been prepared and the body has been sent to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital morgue.The sharp weapon was seized.The arrested Hridoy confessed to the murder during preliminary interrogation.
