The official trailer for Farooki's latest project, titled "Something like an Autobiography," was released on Thursday evening on the official Facebook page of Chorki.
The film is part of the anthology series "Ministry of Love", and it promises to deliver a blend of love, suspense, and real-life chemistry, blurring the lines between fact and fiction.
In "Something like an Autobiography," Mostafa Sarwar Farooki not only directs but also shares the screen with Nusrat Imrose Tisha. This collaboration extends beyond acting, as both have contributed to the film's screenplay. Tisha, who is relatively new to scriptwriting, found the experience exhilarating and fulfilling.
The official trailer, which was unveiled recently, opens with a powerful quote from Tisha, "Not money, not achievements, I have only wanted freedom all my life."
The story of the movie revolves around the film maker Farhan and actress Tithi, a couple living in Dhaka. After many years of marriage, they are under social pressure to have children. At one point Tithi becomes pregnant. But something happened towards the end of her pregnancy. The story reflects Farooqui-Tisha's real life. Farooki plays the role of filmmaker Farhan, while Tisha plays the role of Tithi.
Farooki's latest project, titled "Something like an Autobiography," has been selected to compete in the 28th Busan International Film Festival's competition category. The film is set to have its world premiere at the festival in October.
