The police recovered the body of a farmer named Shafiqul Islam Shafi Molla (35) from a wood garden in Shitalkusha Nayapara of Sharif Pur Union in Jamalpur Sadar Upazila
His body was recovered from a forest in Nayapara of Shitakursha village of Sharifpur Union of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila early on Wednesday (November 22). Deceased Shafiqul Islam Shafi Molla is the son of late Zainal Abedin Molla of Molla Bari of Godashimla village of Sharifpur Union.
He has twice been elected UP member from his ward No 6 and is a farmer by profession.
According to local sources, a woman saw a man lying in the forest while he was going to work behind the house of doctor Abdul Jalil of Shitalkusha Nayapada village in the early morning. Later, locals gathered at the spot on his call.
Locals saw the body of Shafiqul Islam Shafi Mollah and informed the police. Later, the police recovered his body from the spot.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Jamalpur Sadar Police Station. Mohabbat Kabir said, “The body of a young man named Shafiqul Islam has been recovered from Shitalkursha village of Sadar Upazila.
A report has been prepared and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
The cause of death will be ascertained after the post-mortem. However, no injury marks were found on the body.
