Faridpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Morshed Alam along with other police personnel visited Kotwali Police Station on Friday to start the activities of Police.
The members of Police led by SP Mohammad Morshed Alam visited the damaged police station around 12:00pm.
Vandalism and arson incidences were happened at Sadarpur, Madhukhali and Kotwali Police Stations of the district during the anti-discriminatory student movement and government fall movement. Every room of the police station, police vehicle and documents of the cases were burnt due to that.
SP Mohammad Morshed Alam said the police have been treated ruthlessly during the ongoing situation. The morale of the police has been broken. They are trying to start their activities again with the help of everyone. Three police stations of the districts were severely vandalised and set on fire. Furniture and documents were burnt and weapons were looted. However, rests of the six police stations are in safe condition. Normal activities of police in these stations will continue.
