Faridpur district police brought out a procession in the district on Monday to bring back the pace of police activities. Leaders and activists of various political parties, students and people also took part in the procession at that time expressing their solidarities.
The procession was brought out from Faridpur Police Lines around 3:15 pm on Monday. The procession paraded the main road and ended in front of Janata Bank intersection. When the procession reached in front of Faridpur press club, the participants were felicitated with flowers led by Faridpur press club president Md Kabirul Islam Siddique.
Faridpur Superintendent of Police Md Morshed Alam, Additional Superintendent of Police Shoilen Chakma, joint convener of District BNP Md Afzal Hossain Khan Palash and member secretary AK Kibria Shwapon were present in the procession.
The members of police went to work abstention following the attack on various police establishments and police members after the fall of government through quota reform movement. However, members of Faridpur district police returned to work following the order of the Police Chief. A procession was organized to boost their morale after they joined at the work.
