Dhallywood popular model turned actress Nusraat Faria Mazhar has done several Indian Bangla movies besides Dhallywood cinema by acting in a few co-produced movies. Recently the actress has been awarded for her contribution in West Bengal films in the category ‘Notable contribution to Bangladesh film industry’ at the second edition of Films and Frames Digital Awards based in Kolkata.
Films and Frames Digital Film Awards, popularly known as FAFDA, are awards to reward artistic and technical merit in the Bengali Film Industry. The award ceremony was held in Kolkata on December 3. However due the current situation the actress could not receive the award in person. So, the organisers of FAFDA has couriered the award to the actress in Dhaka on Saturday January 22.
After receiving the award Faria shared the pictures with everyone on social media and said ‘earlier, I got the Tele Cine Award for Best Actress for my performance in the film ‘Badsha – The Don’ from Kolkata and this time I was supposed to be present at the ‘Films and Frames Digital Awards’. But I didn’t want to take any more risks because of Corona. As a result the organisers has sent the award to my home address in Dhaka. It's a great pleasure for me. "
Along with Nusraat Faria Bangladeshi actors Bidya Sinha Saha Mim, and Siam Ahmed were also recognised for their ‘Notable Contribution in the Bangladeshi Film Industry’ at the FAFDA 2021.
The Best Film award was given to ‘Biye Dot Com’ directed by Sudeshna Roy and Abhijeet Guha.
