Jhenaidah bus, minibus, coach, microbus transport workers’ union distributed a sum of Taka 8.25 lakh among the family members of 23 dead workers on Saturday.
The assistance was disbursed at the association office by Jhenaidah-2 MP Tahjub Alam Siddiquee Somi. Presided over by association president Waliar Rahman in the chair, Somi attended as chief guest.
Bangladesh Awmi League Jhenaidah sadar upazila unit president, also chairman of Jhenaidah Sdar upazila parishad Abdur Rashid Advocate, organization general secretary Shahidul Islkam Hiron, Sramik League president Akkas Ali, general secretary Ekramul Haque Liku, Sechchhasewak league organizing secretary Abu Sayeed Biswas, transport workers’ leader Ashrafuzzaman Khokan and Abu Sayeed among others present.
Lawmaker Tahjub Alm Siddiquee Somi had handed over the money among the family members so that they could run their families well when the guardians of their families involved with the association had died.
