Fall orientation programme held at NDUB

Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) welcomed the Fall trimester students on 6 September 2019 at 9am at the university campus. Professor Dr Tofail Ahmad Chowdhury, dean of Science Faculty, University of Dhaka (DU), was the chief guest of the event, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of NDUB Professor Dr Fr Patrick Daniel Gaffney, CSC.

The programme set sail with national anthem and hoisting the flag. After the chief guest was welcomed with flower bouquets, Dr Tofail said, “NDUB is an ideal educational institution directed by Holy Cross Fathers. By now, Notre Dame has created a special place in people’s heart. When we try to buy a product, we try to buy a good product from a good brand. Notre Dame is a brand in the field of education. So, you are fortunate for getting this opportunity to be a part of Notre Dame Family.”

Other people who were also present at the programme were Register of NDUB Fr Adam S Pereira, CSC, Deputy Registrar of NDUB Dr Fr Shankar Rozario, CSC, Proctor of NDUB Fr Lawrence N Das, CSC, faculty members, head of the departments, administration and students of NDUB.

Nazma Akhter, a faculty member in Department of Business Administration, suggested academic activities for new students.

Later, Mikhal Sardar, a freshman expressed his experience, saying that, “As I was waiting for my admission result at NDUB, within 20 minutes when it got published, I collected the admission form. I want to devote myself to the service of the nation and its people.”

Among the other remarks were the welcome speech of VC Fr Patrick D Gaffney, Fr Adam S Pereira introduced all faculty members and administration, Fr Lawrence N Das presented the code of conduct regulations to the students.
