Rapid Action Battalion arrested a fake currency maker in Narayanganj on Sunday night.
Twenty-three-year-old Miraj Mridha was apprehended from Bhangarpul area under Shiddhirganj Police Station.
Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) of RAB-11 Mohammad Jasimuddin Chowdhury briefed the media on Monday.
RAB also seized fake notes worth Tk 14,000 taka, a scanner, printer, computer and other equipment for manufacturing fake currency.
Additional SP Jasimuddin said Miraj, who a tenant of Wakil Bhuiyan house in Bhangarpul area, manufactured fake currency and sold those in Narayanganj and Dhaka.
He changed his location frequently to avoid law enforcement’s watch.
RAB handed Miraj to the local police and filed a case against him.
