A cook of a factory was killed by snatchers at Lokkhonkhola area under Bandar police station on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Shahin Madbor, 40, son of Sultan Madbor, resident of Balippara village of Indorkhali police station in Pirojpur district.
According to the police, Shahin Madbor a cook of a factory of Bashundhara Group at Modhonganj of Bandar upazila was returning to his tenant house by motorcycle on Wednesday night. When he reached the Lokkhonkhola area a gang of snatchers resisted his motion by a rope obstacle and he then fell on the road. Snatchers looted cell phones and money. On information, police rushed to the spot and after rescuing Shahin admitted to Bandar upazila health complex where he died while undergoing treatment.
A case was filed with Banadar police station in this regard.
