Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed has said that the main goal of digital services is to facilitate services.
He said digital that services are now at the doorstep of the people under the prudent leadership of the Prime Minister. He made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at the Service Validation and Integration Workshop on digitized services of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment in MyGov Rapid Digitization system.
In collaboration with Access to Information (a2i), the day-long workshop was organized by the ministry in the Bijoy 71 Hall of Probashi Kallyan Bhaban.
The minister said that all government services should be provided as soon as possible for the welfare of expatriate workers.
“More digital the service, the more the people of the country will benefit. By providing proper services to the people, it will be possible to pay tribute to Bangabandhu and three million martyrs,” he said.
The ceremony was presided over by Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary Ahmed Munirush Salehin.
Director General of Wage Earners’ Welfare Board Md Hamidur Rahman, Director General of Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) Md Shahidul Alam NDC, Managing Director of Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) Md Billal Hossain, Additional Secretary of the Ministry Joynal Abedin Mollah and Md Abdul Mannan were present during this time, along with others.
