Speakers at a seminar on Thursday said the regulator never frame rules to create hurdles for the listed compnaies rather it works relentlessly so that the the companies can surcive in the competitive market.
They said sometime the commission feel that some of the orgaisations may hide many things in their audit report or the their finnacial reports are not published properly.
Chairman of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE)Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Hasan Babu presided over the seminar. He said the issue of safety for the investors is very important that's why DSE is working for ensuring transparancy of financial statement of the listed companies. BSEC is also formulating laws to ensure publishing flawless financial report of the listed companies. "We want our capital market will contriute to the economy or GDP growth in our country as like many other countries", he added DSE Managing Director Dr. ATM Tariqujjaman CPA said main condition of an efficient capital arket is publishing its information timely, also to ensure the transparancy of the report which is reflected through the share prices.
Assistant General Manager and Chief of Corporate Governance and Financial Reporting Compliance Department Md. Masud Khan ACCA presented keynote paper on the occasion.
