Former Awami League lawmaker Amanur Rahman Khan Rana was released from Tangail District Jail on Tuesday.
The Supreme Court on Monday upheld a High Court order that granted Rana’s bail.
Tangail District Jailer Abul Bashar confirmed the matter.
On Monday, the Supreme Court has upheld a High Court order that granted bail to the former Awami League lawmaker in a case filed over the killing of two Juba League activists in 2012.
On April 1, the Supreme Court upheld a High Court order granting Rana’s bail in another case filed over Freedom Fighter Faruk’s murder.
