A Dhaka court on Thursday showed former commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Asaduzzaman Miah arrested in a case filed over murder of garment worker Aziz at Uttara during the recent mass movement.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Arifur Rahman passed the order as police produced Asaduzzaman before the court after end of his seven-day remand in another case and pleaded to show him arrested in this case.
Earlier, on September 11, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Asaduzzaman Miah from Mohakhali area and he was produced before the court the next day.Later, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam placed him on seven-day remand in the case filed over killing of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader Nuruzzaman Jony.
