Sarah Cooke is coming back to Dhaka as the new British High Commissioner to Bangladesh.
She served as head of the UK aid agency in Dhaka, DFID, between 2012 and 2016.
She will take up her new appointment during April/May replacing Robert Chatterton Dickson, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said.
She is currently serving at the FCDO as the head of the South East Asia Department.
Before that, she was the British High Commissioner of Dar es Salaam.
She joined there in 2016 completing her Dhaka assignment as the DFID head.
