The immediate-past director of the Central Medical Stores Depot (CMSD) brig gen Md Shahidullah died of Covid-19 on Saturday.
He breathed his last at Combined Military Hospital in the city, health ministry’s spokesperson Ayesha Akhter told the media.

In a letter to the public administration ministry that time, Shahidullah urged the authorities to free CMSD and the overall health sector from an ‘unscrupulous syndicate’.
In the letter, he also named contractors who allegedly control all procurement of CMSD, transfer and postings of the health sector.
