Former Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) M Manjur Alam are distributing winter clothes among the poor, slum dwellers and marginalized people of the city, initiative of Alhaj Mostafa Hakim Welfare Foundation and Alhaj Hosne Ara Manjur Welfare Trust.
Mostafa Hakim distributed winter clothes, blankets and cash among 500 slum dwellers at the corporate office on Thursday morning.
CCC former successful mayor and humanitarian social worker Alhaj Mohammad Manjur Alam said in the speech of the chief guest at the distribution ceremony of winter clothes under the chairmanship of Mustafa Hakim Group General Manager Nipur Chowdhury.
Manjur Alam said that poor, low income, destitute people, slum dwellers and marginalized people are the creation of Allah. It is our duty to serve them.
He said, Bangabandhu wanted to put a smile on the face of the suffering people. His daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also wants no one to be homeless in Bangladesh. This great humanitarian prime minister has given shelter to 35 lakh people.
All our services are on the path shown by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He expects their cooperation in service activities.
Mostafa Hakim Group Director Alhaj Mohammad Nizamul Alam was the special guest on the occasion. At the beginning of the distribution of winter clothes, recitations from the Holy Quran, Milad, prayers and prayers were held. Imam Hafez Maulana Ghulam Sarwar Uddin of Hazrat Syed Mansoor Ali Shah Jame Masjid led the prayer.
