The orientation programme of the newly admitted students for fall semester 2019 were held in different academic departments of East West University (EWU) at the university campus in the capital on Thursday. Nearly 1000 students have been admitted to graduate and undergraduate programmes in 13 different departments this semester.
All departments of EWU arranged individual programmes for their newly admitted students. The objectives of the programme included welcoming new students and introducing them to the university’s facilities, faculty members, the academic system and the rules and regulations of the institution.
The programmes were attended by among others, Professor Dr Kazi Shahidullah, chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Syed Manzur Elahi, chairperson of Board of Trustees, EWU, Professor Dr M M Shahidul Hassan, vice chancellor, A Z M Shafiqul Alam, treasurer, and the Deans of the University.
