Evercare Hospital Chittagong is providing cleft lip and palate treatment to underprivileged children for free. Three patients have recently undergone successful surgery.
The treatment was completed under the supervision of the country's leading plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr.Mrinal Kanti Sarkar, at a press conference on Monday afternoon.
Evercare Foundation is a non-profit organization. Evercare Foundation and Evercare Hospital Chittagong are working together to put smiles on the faces of children with cleft lip and palate.
As a result, three surgeries have been completed at Evercare Hospital Chittagong.
The three patients are; Nayem Hossain (Age 1 year, Home-Kalapani, Ramgarh, Khagrachari), Runway Mro (Age 10 years, Home-Pahartali) and Ainul Islam Samir (Age 4 months, Home-Mirsharai). All three patients are now doing well after surgery.
Sameer Singh, Chief Operating Officer of Evercare Hospital Chittagong, said, “About six thousand children are born with cleft lip and palate every year in Bangladesh, most of them are deprived of proper treatment.
