Executive Vice President of European Green Deal; Frans Timmermans said the European Union (EU) will do everything possible to help Bangladesh tackle climate change.
He lauded the role of the Government of Bangladesh in tackling climate change under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and said the EU would continue to enhance cooperation with Bangladesh in the days to come. desh is playing a significant role in the international arena in tackling climate change. The Minister also sought EU cooperation in all areas of tackling climate change, including technology transfer, capacity building, renewable energy and adaptation activities. Additional Secretary (Development) of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Ahmed Shamim Al Razi and Director of the Department of Environment Md Ziaul Haque were present at the meeting as members of the Bangladesh delegation.
