Department of Pharmacy celebrated ‘Introducing Pharma Family’ at Eastern University (EU). The teachers and students of the department celebrated the formation of the Pharma Club, Orientation of the first batch students and the approval of the Pharmacy Council through a discussion and cultural program held in the seminar hall of the university on Tuesday.
Earlier they participated in a colorful procession and medicinal plant planting program in the morning.
Vice Chancellor of the EU Professor Dr. Sahid Akhtar Hussain said, “You are very lucky, you are the first batch students of the pharmacy department of this university. As such, you become a part of the history of this university. After passing from this department, you will work in the best company in the country. You will serve the country and will engage yourselves in the service of people.”
Professor Dr. Abbas Ali Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration. Anwar Zahid, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Dr Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Professor Dr Firoz Ahmed, Advisor of the pharmacy department and chairperson of the pharmacy department of Dhaka University and Dr. Abul Bashar Khan, Registrar of EU delivered the speech at the program. Lecturer Munira Binte Yahya introduced the department.
Abu bin Ihsan, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacy presided over the event.
Fahim Morshed, President of Pharma Club gave a greeting speech. First batch student Taufia Jannat Nitu conducted the program.
