Eternals premiered last week and reviews have begun filing in with a very mixed take. Marvel has typically scored on the higher end of the scale with most of their films falling into the "certified fresh" category at Rotten Tomatoes, but ‘Eternals’ reviews so far have put it on a potentially different path. The film currently sits as the lowest-rated Marvel film to date, currently sitting at 61%, which is a far cry from the standard 85% average for MCU films.
Marvel released a new spot for ‘Eternals’, which highlights the positive reviews for the film, citing the "epic, unique, powerful, and breathtaking" impressions the film left for some critics. In addition the spot takes on a more heroic vibe altogether, showcasing the ‘Eternals’ in action and preparing for what appears to be an epic battle. While the film appears to be divisive from a critical standpoint, an audience "score" has yet to be determined. It's always possible that the audience may love the film more, as has been the case for many films in the past, but it's too soon to tell how the pendulum will swing for ‘Eternals’. Collider
