President Abdul Hamid on Saturday asked the authorities concerned to ensure the quality of development projects.
“The institution or person concerned must be liable if any negligence is found in development work,” he said while witnessing the progress of different ongoing development projects, including Itna-Mithamain-Astagram roads.
President Hamid directed the authorities concerned to complete the under-construction roads by March next year, his Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told reporters quoting the President.
This road will connect three upazilas of Kishoreganj, ease road communications with Dhaka and other parts of the country.

The under-construction Austagram-Nawga will connect Chatalpar of Brahmanbaria district through a bridge while Austagram-Kastul-Bhantshala roads will connect Itna and Mithamoin upazilas. Earlier, the President was informed about the proposed Mithamoin Cantonment.
The President arrived in Kishoreganj on Wednesday on a weeklong visit to his home district. His son and local lawmaker Rejwan Ahmmad Taufiq, secretaries concerned to the President, local leaders and senior officials concerned, among others, accompanied him during the visit.
