Agitating staffers of Palli Sanchay Bank, a state owned specialised bank, demanded immediate cancellation of contractual appointment of the Managing Director Sheikh Md. Jaminur Rahman and some other senior officials of the bank raising allegations of massive corruption against them.
Other senior officials include System Analyst Mohammad Yahya Tanhar and Senior System Analyst Md Shahed Alamgir.
In a press conference, the general employees of the bank on Sunday blamed that Sheikh Md. Jaminur Rahman embezzled the bank’s money through purchasing unnecessary goods and equipments at high prices which is contrary to the rules and violations to the PPR.
"Even while the students movement was going on, he took bribes in the name of transfer and promotion of officers, continued process viva of the candidates at the head office at night from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, even till midnight. He completed the viva proceedings without taking the viva even in absence of an external representative.
Employees of Palli Sanchay Bank also demanded form an independent and impartial investigation committee to confirm the allegations and take disciplinary action against the corrupt employees.
