Recently transferred Deputy Inspector General of Police of Rajshahi Range AKM Hafiz Akhter was given an emotional, touching farewell from his official residence in the city by the police members in Rajshahi Monday morning.
In the morning, AKM Hafiz Akhter came out from his official residence when the police members pulled his Jeep to the road with two flower-wrapped (Marigold or Ganda flower) ropes. The Jeep carrying the DIG was also ornamented with varieties of flowers. Other police officials present during the farewell of DIG Hafiz Akhter also became emotional and some were also seen to weep during his departure.
Earlier, DIG Hafiz Akher received his farewell respect and salute at his official bungalow. Among others, the farewell programme was attended by Additional DIG ( Admin. and Finance) of Police TM Mozahidul Islam and Superintendent of Police of Rajshahi Mohammad Shaidullah.
in a government notification issued on September-2, AKM Hafiz Akhter has been promoted as the Additional Commissioner of Police of Dhaka Metropolitan Police( DMP). Before being appointed as the DIG, Rajshahi range, he had been working as the Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police.
