On November 26, she won the third phase of the UP election by getting 228 votes in the reserved ward No. 2 with the book symbol. In this way, Champa, who used to run with the newspaper every day, became the headline of the news this time.
Jannatul Sarkar Champa, daughter of Ishaq Ali of Mallikbain village in Pasha-Danga union, said no task is small.
Although she passed high school, she did not get a job. After a while, she bought a bicycle and started to sell newspaper in the area. This is what became her profession. The newspaper also introduced her with the people in the area.
She will always try to fulfill the responsibility given to her by the people who love her and win with their valuable votes. But she will not stop selling magazines.
Firoza Parveen, female vice-chairman of Chatmohar Upazila Parishad, said Champa is a confident girl.
She used to ride a bicycle and sell magazines, but an organization bought her an auto-bike. From dawn to about noon, Champa drove the auto-bike and delivered the newspaper to people's homes. Every day she travels about 6 km to the Upazila Sadar to sell newspapers.
She returns home in the afternoon, after handing over the newspaper to the readers of different areas including offices, educational institutions, shops and municipalities.
Newspaper seller Champa is now a public representative.
