Elaborate programmes have been taken to observe the National Mourning Day and 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due respect and honour across the country.
In Gazipur, marking the day, elaborate programmes were taken in the district. Prayers, rally, discussion, food distribution among the poor will be held on August 15 on the occasion of the day, reports our Gazipur Correspondent.
The Gazipur district administration will arrange a discussion at Bhawal Conference Hall where SM Tariqul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) will preside. Awami League and its different front bodies, National University, Open University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University and other social organsations have chalked out elaborate programme on that day separately.
In Chuadanga, the district Awami League, district administration and Shishu Academy have taken up various programs to observe the National Mourning Day on August 15, reports our Chuadanga Correspondent.
District Awami League held a meeting on August 12 and made the decision. The programs include hoisting national flag, party flag at half mast before sun rise, placing wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, discussion meeting and miladmahfil.
DC Office will arrange different programs following hoisting of national flag at half mast, placing wreaths on the murals of Bangabandhu and Bangamata, discussion meeting etc. A cultural program will be held on DC Shahitya Mukto Monch. Special prayer will be offered under the supervision of district administration and Islamic Foundation at the mosques. Moreover, short film about Bangabandhu will be shown at different points of the district town.
Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner (DC) will place wreaths on the murals of Bangabandhu Shekh Mujib and Bangamata Fazilatunnesa on the premises of Deputy Commissioner Office.
Chuadanga Shishu Academy under the direction of district administration has chalked out painting competition, recitation competition, essay writing competition and song competition among the child participators.
