The celebration of Digital Bangladesh Day will start with colorful rallies and concerts across the country in the year of implementation of Vision 2021. However, first of all, the ICT department will start celebrating the day by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi 32.
After that, all the activities of the day celebration will be carried out in parallel in seven divisional levels besides the capital Dhaka. There are also programming, composition and recitation competitions. At the end of all, Digital Bangladesh National Award will be given in 24 categories including 12 at local level and 12 at national level.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the day by connecting online to the main event. Law Minister Anisul Haque will be the chief guest at the national seminar in the afternoon. This was stated by State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak at a press conference held at Bangladesh Computer Council auditorium in Agargaon on Thursday.
Regarding the celebration of the day, he also said, “The online quiz competition organized on the occasion of Digital Bangladesh Day 2021 on December 10 will be held from 7 pm to 8 pm. 21 people will be awarded among the highest correct respondents in 21 minutes of the competition.”
He unveiled the Digital Bangladesh logo along with acting director general of the Department of Information and Communication Technology Rezaul Mansur Jahedi and managing director of the Hi-Tech Park Authority Bikorn Kumar Ghosh.

The press conference was presided over by Senior Secretary of ICT Department NM Ziaul Alam. Leaders of ICT trade unions were also present.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest at the press conference, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, “Even if you do not have your own vehicle, you can easily reach your destination using the Ride Sharing App. Without being a victim of fraud and harassment, more than 100 million citizens are able to send money to their families and make financial transactions through their mobile financial wallets.
