The Padma Bridge collected a remarkable toll of Tk 29,31,71,350 during the nine-day Eid journey from June 10 to June 18 according to the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA).
Amirul Haider Chowdhury, Additional Director of BBA, reported that 2,52,269 vehicles crossed the Padma Bridge from both ends during this period. The highest toll collection occurred on June 14, amounting to Tk 4,82,18,600.
The following day, June 15, saw a collection of Tk 4,30,82,900. On June 16, the toll reached Tk 3,55,71,150. Eid day, June 17, brought in Tk 1,67,16,550, while June 18 saw a collection of Tk 2,71,22,000.
Earlier in the period, the toll collected on June 10 was Tk 2,60,26,500. On June 11, the figure was Tk 2,82,51,500. June 12 recorded a collection Tk of 3,13,60,450, and on June 13, the toll was Tk 3,68,21,700.
Of the total toll collected, Tk 15,55,89,700 were gathered at the Mawa end of the Padma Bridge, while 13,75,81,650 taka came from the Jazira end.
