Bangladesh Television (BTV) is set to air its Eid special magazine TV show titled Anandamela on Eid-ul-Fitr. Like in previous years, the show will feature various entertaining sessions for the viewers. However, this year, Bangladesh Television's Eid special magazine show ‘Anandamela’ will feature a unique performance by six musicians from the two Banglas. Lyricist Kabir Bakul and music composer Emon Chowdhury have brought together the two two parts of Bangla for an amazing virtual music performance.

Because of Covid-19, Anandamela will host some virtual performances, along with studio performances. This special virtual music performance will include singers like Tapan Chowdhury, Kumar Bishwajit, Chandan Sinha along with West Bengal's Raghab Chatterjee, Joy Sarkar and Usha Uthup.  The singers are recording the song sitting at their own homes.

About the song, Tapan Chowdhury shaid, "Kabir Bakul's lyrics and composer Emon Chowdhury's music has made this a wonderful song. This song is about harmony and courage, which we need in this difficult time of Covid-19. And everyone performed wonderfully."

According to Kumar Bishwajit "I have seen a good lyric after a long time and it was a pleasure to sing with some music legends."

Singer Usha Uthup expressed her happiness saying " I feel honoured by singing a beautiful song on the occasion of Eid in Bangladesh. This is a very peaceful song, which has a wonderful meaning, which will give people the courage to fight back with harmony in this pandemic."

All the singers have never performed together before so it was a new experience for them.  Along with Indian and Bangladeshi singers, this song includes a violin player from the Netherlands.

Lyricist Kabir Bakul explains " I named the song 'Sompriti o Shahosh er Gaan (Song of Harmony and courage)'  because this is what we need the most. Both people of India and Bangladesh are going through a tough time. I organised this song with both countries because we have common feelings right now."

The song is produced by Mahafuza Aktar, which will telecast on BTV's Eid Anandamela, at 10 pm on Eid day.
