Eid gifts have been distributed to 341 Rohingya refugee children sheltered in Cox’s Bazar on Monday.
The distribution programme was held by Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) in cooperation with international donor organization Human Concern International (HCI) and implementation of NGO Shushilan.
The programme was organized at Durbar Hall of Rohingya Camp-4 at Ukhia in Cox's Bazar. It was presided over by the camp In-charge Senior Assistant Secretary Mst Nikhat Ara.
Masum Mahbub, CEO of Human Concern USA and Global Director of Human Concern International Iftekhar Sheikh Ahmed were present at the gift distribution ceremony.
Mustafa Bakuluzzaman, Managing Director of Sushilon Limited, Accounts Officer Md Delwar Hussain and project field facilitators and volunteers supervised the programme.
Each gift packet contains school bag, water bottle, umbrella as educational materials. Shirts, pants, shoes were given to boys and frocks, pajamas, scarves, shoes were given to girls on the occasion of Eid. Nutritious biscuits and dry cakes were also distributed among them.
The children were overjoyed receiving the gifts.
The representatives of the donor organizations asked about the children's education and treatment. They expressed their hope to continue the support for the children in the future.
