On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, sale of advance bus tickets will start from June 24. People will be able to collect advance bus tickets from early morning on that day.
The Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners Association has informed this after a meeting at its Gabtoli office in the capital on Tuesday.
General Secretary of the Association Abu Raihan said, “Advance ticket sale would start in Gabtoli, Kalyanpur and Shyamoli from June 24. Passengers will be able to purchase advance tickets for any day before Eid subject to availability of tickets.”
According to the decision, tickets for July 6 will be sold June 24. Tickets for various routes in North Bengal and South-West from Gabtoli Inter-District Bus Terminal and other terminals will be sold.
According to the decision of the meeting, the government fare list will be hanged in front of each bus counter. No bus company should claim extra fare from the passengers.
It has also been informed in the notification that punitive action will be taken against them if anyone collects extra fare.
