There is no alternative to building the nation as educated to build a poverty-free Bangladesh. Mentioning that, Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said that the government is working to spread the light of education everywhere to achieve that goal.
The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a function to distribute bicycles and education grants among students of various small anthropological groups under implementation from the Prime Minister's Office at Kalingar Government Primary School ground in Porsha upazila of Naogaon district on Monday. The Minister said the government has been working tirelessly to implement an inclusive development program for all by integrating small ethnic groups into the mainstream of society. Initiatives have been taken to bring forward the educated and socio-economically backward sections of the minority ethnic groups. The government has undertaken development programs in certain areas with the aim of improving their living standards. He mentioned that a separate allocation has been made in the budget for this purpose.
Sadhan Chandra Majumder said the government always thinks that education is the right of the nation.
The government is working to ensure that no one is deprived of the right to education. One day these boys and girls will be educated and well educated and will become an ideal nation and will devote themselves in the service of the country.
The food minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina means development, electricity at home, development of roads, development of health sector, improvement of living standards of small ethnic groups. Since the Awami League government came to power in 2008, there have been no people who have not received the benefits offered by the Prime Minister. At the same time, the Minister called upon all to join hands and strengthen the hands of the Prime Minister.
Porsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hamid Raza presided over the function while Upazila Parishad Chairman Manzur Morshed, District Livestock Officer Mohir Uddin, Upazila Awami League President Anwarul Islam, General Secretary Mofazzal Hossain and others spoke.
Later, the minister handed over education grants to 30 students at primary level, 15 students at secondary level and bicycles to 10 students.
Earlier, Food Minister distributed cows and relief among 50 beneficiaries with the aim of improving the socio-economic life of the small ethnic groups.
