Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said all educational institutions in the country will be opened this month.
She said this while addressing a function at the conference room of Chandpur Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday.
The education minister said, “The decision regarding opening of the educational institutions will be taken at a meeting with the National Technical Advisory Committee after reviewing the Coronavirus situation. However, no date has been set yet.”
“I will also talk to the Prime Minister about this. However, the students have to strictly abide by the health rules,” she said.
The minister said all those who have passed HSC this year have an opportunity to get admission because there are more seats than passes.
“From 2023, we will implement a new curriculum for students. In this way, the quality of education will be improved,” she said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the minister was present as the chief guest at the oath taking ceremony of 29 elected union council chairmen and members of Kachua, Faridganj and Haimchar upazilas of Chandpur district.
Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan presided over the function. Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, MP of Chandpur-1 constituency and Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman, MP of Chandpur-4 constituency were present at the programme.
